Seniors and Veterans Program

Seniors over 62 and veterans receive a $2 “Seniors and Veterans Dollars” coupon, first Sunday of every month, at the market Information Book (typically no “proof” of qualifying is needed)
Originated and operated by the Lewiston Farmers’ Market as a “friend-raising” initiative and a way to provide bonus revenue for vendors who can’t accept Maine Harvest Bucks
Supported through fundraising efforts and general operating funds
Seniors and Veterans Dollars can be used to purchase any product from any Lewiston Farmers' Market vendor at any point during the season (or the following season)
Seniors and Veterans Dollars cannot be traded or exchanged for cash in any way

A frequent shopper program open to any market goers.
To encourage repeat visits, the Market Rewards Program acts as a “friend-raising” initiative and a way to provide bonus revenue for vendors who can’t accept Maine Harvest Bucks
To participate, customers are provided a wallet size “Frequent Shopper Card” at the Information Booth during a shopping visit
After five visits, customers receive a $2 “Market Rewards Dollar” coupon, which can be used with any market vendor for any product
Funded by market general operation funds

An Employee to Market Wellness Program administered by the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets (MFFM) and MOFGA with federal funding support.
Employers provide gift certificates or coupons for select markets to be used by their employees
The Lewiston Farmers’ Market and MFFM partner with the City of Lewiston and Bates College
